Is that you?
Picture this: A performer stands on stage. He sets up a tall, thin rod. Places a plate on top. Spins it. The plate whirls.
Then he moves to another spot. Sets up another rod. Places a plate on top. Spins it. Then another. And another.
As long as each plate keeps spinning, it stays balanced on its rod. But the moment one slows down, it wobbles. So he runs back and spins it again. Faster. More energy. Then the next plate starts to wobble. He sprints across the stage, spinning that one. Then the next.
He's not moving toward anything. He's just running back and forth, adding energy so nothing crashes.
Is that you? I ask because that was me.
Everything in my life—career, relationships, health, family, community—was a plate that needed spinning. And I'd convinced myself that the solution was just to run faster and find more energy.
I tried optimization: better sleep, better time management systems, hiring consultants, hiring staff. But no amount of discipline or resources fixed the real problem.
The truth I discovered? I'd never decided which plates actually mattered. When everything is a priority, nothing is. I was throwing endless energy at a fundamentally broken system—not because I was broken, but because I'd never clarified what deserved my energy in the first place.
So I took the plates, held them in my hands, and walked off the stage. I stopped the performance. It was time to make real change.

"Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."
— Viktor Frankl
Headline:
Tired of spinning? There's another way.
We've been told that freedom is doing whatever you want whenever you want.
That's not true freedom. True freedom is choosing what matters.
When you get clear on your values, align your goals to those values, and build systems that support them, something shifts. The anxiety dissolves. The endless running stops. You reclaim the energy you've been throwing away.
You don't just get your life back. You get to choose your life.
